In those days, there were no modern weapons such guns, pistols etc. for self protection. For survivals sake, one must possessed special skills or mystical power. As a laymen, he was very fascinated and curious to learn and possess those mystical charms and power form the senior monks residing at Wat Bangpra. The temple was just a stones throw away from his house. Young Pern used to go the temple to acquire as much knowledge and skills as he could.
His inclination and keenness to learn and study caught the eyes of his father, which later taught him all the skills he possessed. Not long after that, his family moved to SuphanBuri, where he gained his reputation and worshipped as a hero due to his prowess in mystical power and charms. Lung Phor Pern s quest for mystical power and charms had led him to find some great teachers to be his mentors. Suffice to say that he was aeriously interested in all things paranormal. He had the privilege to be a disciple of the extremely respected monk of the time, Lung Phor Dang of Wat Tungkog. Lung Phor Dang himself was a disciple of Lung Phor Nhong of Wat Klongmadun. Under the tutelage of Lung Phor Dang, young Pern learned very fast and possessed special skills. His mentor knew that young Pern will become a renowned sorcerer than expected. Young Pern came under the tutelage of Lung Phor Dang for a number of years before he moved back to his home town in Nakorn Pathom. At one stage, yong Pern was supposed to be a conscript. But luck was with him. He was never called upon to be one. Young Pern also had a chance to study under Lung Phor Jumpa, a chief monk of Wat Phradoo in Bangkok
During his years in Nakorn Pathom young Pern also had the chance to learn Sak Yant or making tattoo from a very well known and respected monk, Lung Pu Him. Lung Pu Him was the chief abbot of Wat Bangpra. Lung Pu Him was an expert in matters of sorcery and an ancient medicine. He could cure all kinds if illnesses by using herbs and plants collected from the jungle. Those invaluable skills were passed on to young Pern.
As a young man, he was always fascinated with the life of a monk. He decided to become a monk. On the 23
rd May BE 2491, on Friday, aged 26, he was ordained as a monk with the full blessings of his parents. He was given the title Thitakuno He studied under Lung Pu Him for Four solid years. Apart from learning those mystical power and charms, he also learned the sacred ancient letter. (Angkara Khom) from Lung Pu Him. He became the disciple of Lung Phor Ophasri, one of the greatest monk of the time, known for his powers of special mystical power. He taught Lung Phor Pern how to free ones mind. According to Lung Phor Ophasri, the greatest enemy within oneself consists of the five senses plus four elements that composed of earth, wind, water wood and fire. Unfortunately, Lung Phor Pern only had a short stinct with Lung Phor Ophasri, one year to be precise before he crissed crossed North, South, East and West of Thailand to gain Further knowledge and skills. He stayed in the Northern region for two years before going south, to Surat Thani province, to be exact. In the south, he paid homage to luang Phor Bhutthatas of Suanmok and Luang Phor Song of Chaofasalaloy Temple.
Lung Phor Pern later wandered to the eastern part of Thailand. That was Kanchanaburi province. He went through the thickest and darkest forests to practice meditation. Mortal dangers such as poisonous snakes, jungle fevers and wild animals such as tigers were roaming freely in this part of the wilderness. Added dangers like wicked fairies, tree spirits or jungle ghosts plus all kinds of evil spirits did nor deter Lung Phor Pern from seeking the truths. In fact, the word fear did not exist in his mind at all. He was able to meditate in the darkest night in ancient graveryards and ruined temples in the middle of the darkest and thickest jungle. This kind of meditation is supposed to strengthen one s mind and help on to enlighten one due to the extremely fearful nature of the meditation location.
There was a legend of a tiger that turned into a human being and vice versa. As for the latter, it will never turned into a human being again.
In the middle of BE 2504, at noon, a forty year old monk appeared near Tungnangrok Temple. He was none other than Lung Phor Pern Thitakuno. He seemed to be loved and highly respected by the local folks due to the fact that he possessed such a transparent personality that allowed all to see his great compassion as well as his power to help and cure people with his Buddha magic.
Tungnarok Temple was in a state of decay and was about to be abandoned. Luang Phor Pern was called upon by the locals to help restore, develop and repair the ruined temple. He obliged. Within a short period of time, the temple was restored and turned into a great temple as if an angel from heaven did it. Having restored and turned it into a great temple, he was called upon to be the chief monk. He stayed there for sometime before moving on to Wat Kokkamao on the 19
th February, BE 2509. It was at this temple that he made the first batch or Buddha amulets. Those amulets were very hard to find these days and much sought after due to the magical power and miracle bestowed upon the wearers.

His tattoos were said to be invincible and carried special powers with them. He had been able to pass on his skills to his disciples and followers of Wat Bangphra lineage as well as those who are genuinely interested in studying magic tattoo. The trade mark of Wat Bangphra s tattoo is the leaping tiger. Tiger is the symbol of power and dominance. Lung Phor Pern has a strong liking for tigers.
